Hi, I’m Cathy, a fully registered Humanist Wedding Celebrant based in Northern Ireland and proud to be a member of Humanists Together. I create warm, personal and meaningful wedding ceremonies that are legally recognised.
I’ve worked in the wedding industry for over 20 years, so I know how much planning goes into a wedding and, more importantly, how important it is that your ceremony feels like you. I believe your ceremony should be about your story, your personalities and the things that matter to you, not a standard ceremony that could belong to anyone.
I take the time to get to know each couple, usually through a few chats and meetings along the way, and I use what I learn about you to create a completely bespoke ceremony. We can include your own vows, readings, music, family traditions, symbolic rituals, special people and plenty of laughter if that’s your style.
I’ll also guide you through the legal side of having a humanist wedding in Northern Ireland, so you know what needs to be done and when.
For me, being your celebrant is about much more than standing up and delivering a ceremony on the day. I’m there to help you create something that feels personal, genuine and memorable, while making the whole process as relaxed and straightforward as possible.
Whether you’re planning a big celebration or something more intimate, I want your ceremony to be a true reflection of the two of you, with the right amount of love, laughter, personality and a few moments that might even bring a tear to someone’s eye.
Your wedding is unique, so your ceremony should be too. 💕

Heartfelt Ceremonies by Cathy
Make it yours. Don’t feel you have to follow traditions just because everyone else does. Choose the things that mean something to you as a couple.
Give yourselves time. The day will fly by, so don’t pack every minute. Leave space to enjoy it, take a breath and actually take it all in.
Think about your ceremony. It’s the part of the day where you get to stop, look at each other and remember why you’re doing all of this. Make it personal, have some fun with it and don’t be afraid to laugh.
Don’t sweat the small stuff. Something will probably not go exactly to plan, and your guests usually won’t notice!
Most importantly, enjoy it. After all the planning, this is your day. Put the to-do list away, be present and enjoy celebrating with the people you love.
