About
I’m Dot the Celebrant and I get the utter delight of guiding couples as they sign on the dotted line as they get married!
My style is described as ‘engaging, warm, creative with depth, meaning and fun always on hand.
Understanding the individuals, the couple and their guest is core to how I craft each bespoke ceremony.
There are 5 steps in my process to help you have your dream wedding:
Initial chat to see if I’m the right fit for you. If not, I’ll happily suggest others.
Question and Listening - I’ll ask you lots to get to know and understand you. Commonly this is by a questionnaire - I’ll fit with what works best for you
Decisions - I’ll be in your corner if you need help as you make choices about what to include int he ceremony: gestures, readings, story, choreography, tone and delivery
Draft and craft - together we hone the ceremony to be Goldilocks Just Right. This is likely to include a rehearsal, in whatever form suits.
The Big Day - I’m there and on hand to smooth out the launch of your day and to facilitate the ceremony you have chosen, they way you want.
My values - I believe in kindness, compassion & inclusion. A gardener in my soul, I live my life with the principles of gardening - grow, support and prune away the pesky problems, lean into nature. And enjoy coffee (or wine) in the loveliness that surrounds us.
I’m accredited by Humanist Uk - the charity that won the right for non religious legal ceremonies ❣️

Top Wedding Tip!
Dot the Celebrant
Be clear on your ‘why’. This sets out your vibe for the ceremony which launches your whole day.
Do you want an intimate, meaningful tone, a full pelt celebration?
Are traditions important to you, or a weight of worry or somehow…both?
What values, beliefs, principles, stories, humour, tastes fit you - those fall in line with the vibe and my role is to weave all together to have your ceremony exactly fit you.
Once you know your why, your vibe - all your decisions are made against that.
