Breckenhill

Over 250 years old, Breckenhill is a versatile venue for weddings and events, offering a wide range of experiences and possibilities. Lovingly restored over the past 40 years by David and Henrietta, it provides a timeless and characterful backdrop for all kinds of celebrations.

Our indoor spaces centre around two beautifully restored barns. The traditional Stone Barn, restored in 2005, is perfect for smaller, more intimate weddings, with a maximum capacity of 80 guests. The rustic Green Barn, converted in 2015, houses our bar area, relaxed seating, and main event space, accommodating up to 140 guests. Its flexibility allows the space to be shaped entirely around your vision.

It is, however, our outdoor spaces that truly set Breckenhill apart. From our traditional gardens to open fields and camping areas, the venue offers sweeping views across Ballyclare, Belfast, and beyond. All of this is framed by surrounding woodland, with the ancient tree-lined drive providing a particularly striking highlight.

At Breckenhill, our ethos is rooted in sustainability and flexibility. We see ourselves as stewards of this beautiful property, which allows us to offer complete freedom in how the space is used. With no permanent outdoor structures beyond our barns, every area can be tailored to your day.
