From our first consultation call, I knew Emma and Kevin were dream clients. Emma loved the 35mm focal length and a documentary, stripped-back style, which perfectly aligned with my approach. They also loved candid , natural images.

Emma also shared her passion for moody, earthy greens, an editing choice I care deeply about! Their excitement radiated through our Zoom call, making the planning process a joy. A bonus: they were childhood sweethearts.

Their venue, Beech Hill Country House, set in the rolling countryside of Derry/Londonderry, offered rustic charm, lush greenery, and woodland paths, baked in September sunlight. Morning light broke into the joyous bridal suite, painting everything in a warm, radiant glow that made the getting-ready moments fairytale ready.

Dad’s first look was emotional and heartfelt. A personal favourite to capture. Shooting through a doorway , a choice the video team and I decided upon, gave us an uninterrupted but perfectly framed moment.

The stunning ceremony at Ardmore Church was followed by Emma and Kevin’s wonderful idea to walk back to Beech Hill with all their guests.

This created a story packed, documentary moment of everyone celebrating together, with hugs, laughter, and authentic conversation. This energy carried seamlessly into the sun-kissed drinks reception, laced with stories and photographic poetry.

Their unique but epic choice to have a first look of the dinner setting was exactly as envisioned: earthy, warm amber tones, real candlelight, and authentic mood; pure gold for a cinematic photographer.

Their portrait session in the gardens was magical, with the tree-lined canopy letting us play with light and capture cinematic poses alongside the epic bridal party.

The day ended perfectly with a romantic, softly lit first dance, accompanied by the talented ‘The Nooks’, followed by a champagne spray and sparkler exit.

It was everything we hoped it would be: romantic, candid, full of love, emotion, and memories that will last a lifetime.

Emma and Kevin’s reaction to the gallery is the reason I love my job as a wedding photographer.
